The University of California San Francisco is a graduate school dedicated to health professional degrees for the School of Dentistry, School of Medicine, School of Nursing and School of Pharmacy. The UCSF Telemedicine and PRIME US Educational Facility aims to create interdisciplinary team learning environments utilizing the latest teaching technologies coupled with advances in healthcare technologies. The spaces are designed to be flexible and easily modified to incorporate new teaching and learning technologies and environments.

These spaces include “smart” classrooms with multiple projection points and displays for flexible learning settings. The simulation center houses exam rooms and procedure rooms for use in clinical skills training as well as clinical simulation applications. The simulation rooms are flexible, stage-like spaces that can be configured to emulate a wide variety of healthcare environments including emergency rooms and intensive care patient areas, operating rooms and hospital rooms. The simulation rooms are connected technologically to advanced audio video and network devices and infrastructure to support telemedicine, remote learning and recordation of scenarios and exercises.
